Let's Get to Know the SIRAJA Application from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry!
As a business actor, Reporting of production waste is very important so that the type of waste released by companies can be monitored by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), as well as facilitating business actors in the transportation process, data collection, and waste management. Especially for companies whose business activities produce B3 waste which is harmful to the environment and workers.
As technology develops, now business actors can report waste resulting from business activities and apply for waste transportation, especially B3 waste, online through the Hazardous Waste Management Performance Reporting application or SIRAJA. What is SIRAJA application?
Siraja, B3 Waste Management Performance Reporting Platform
The SIRAJA application is a new breakthrough issued by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in order to support B3 waste management reporting, starting with the transport, storage, and utilization effectively and efficiently. With this application, it is hoped that the transition in the reporting manifest can be done digitally and is no longer done manually.
Besides that, This application also facilitates the coordination of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry with the nearest provincial environmental agency to monitor reports on the management and disposal of B3 waste, ensure the accuracy of data in administration, to facilitate business actors and the public in general consultations regarding waste management.
The procurement of this application is in accordance with Government Regulation No 22 Year 2021 concerning Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management, so that SIRAJA is the right solution in managing according to regulations and of course efficient.
Integrated with FESTRONIK
The SIRAJA application has been integrated with the B3 waste management application which was previously launched, i.e. Electronic Manifest or FESTRONIK. FESTRONIK itself is an application that was launched for the first time in 2016 and has experienced several version updates up to the year 2022, as an effort by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry to implement the transition of the B3 waste management manifest from manual to electronic. So, every business actor that produces B3 waste is required to make an electronic manifest document every time there is a B3 waste transport or management activity and report B3 waste management activities (logbook and balance sheet) per quarter through SIRAJA.
Why Register and Use SIRAJA?
Business actors will get many benefits by registering B3 waste management activities through the SIRAJA application, such as increasing commitment in managing B3 waste according to regulations. Besides that, administration process will be easier because it can be done anywhere. B3 waste management can also be monitored by all responsible parties.
Manifest costs are also significantly reduced because it does not require a lot of paper to print out manifest documents. Of course, business actors' data is also protected because SIRAJA implements a high security system to prevent data theft.
By implementing Festronik, B3 waste generators will receive B3 waste manifest documents relatively quickly and in real time when the waste has been received by the advanced management, such as; Collector, Processor, or B3 waste beneficiaries. B3 waste generators no longer need a long time to wait for the process of sorting/sorting manifest documents, as well as document delivery couriers as previously applied to physical manifests (manual).
SIRAJA difference 2020 and 2022
along with time, now the SIRAJA application looks more modern with a user interface (UI) more friendly so that it makes it easier for businesses to do reporting. Besides that, a better SIRAJA server reduces the occurrence of errors when filling in data. The registration form can also be responded quickly by the relevant parties.
That is a brief explanation of the SIRAJA application and the benefits that can be obtained by business actors. By reporting on B3 waste management in the SIRAJA application, then business actors and related agencies can monitor the management of B3 waste to ensure that the process complies with regulations in Indonesia. The presence of SIRAJA will ultimately greatly increase the efficiency of business actors in terms of processing B3 waste!
